Sleep hub

The vast majority of TMD sufferers report poor sleep quality. This further exacerbates the symptoms and has a negative impact of wellbeing and quality of life. There is increasing evidence based research demonstrating a causal link between Bruxism and sleep related breathing disorders.

  • A preliminary Sleep Questionnaire assessment is carried out to ascertain possible sleep related breathing disorders such as Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.
  • Sleep Hygiene recommendations to optimise deep restorative sleep.
  • In some cases a recommendation for a home sleep study or a referral to a specialist sleep physician may be necessary.

A patient success story

"I definitely feel the difference and I feel like I can manage it. I believe that Dr. Roop's holistic approach has worked really well for me, and I could see it honestly from session number one. She asked me questions that were relevant to myself and truly trying to understand the roots of the problem."
